Sensuous Interview of Samara King

Hello everyone, please welcome Samara King to Sensuous Promos today as she shares with us a little bit about themselves and their work.

Samara, thank you for joining us today. I know the readers are eager to get to know you , so let’s get started.

When and why did you begin writing? I started writing when I was in grade school and have always shared a passion for romance fiction. One day, I decided to try my own.

At what point did you first consider yourself a writer?  I believe the moment I saw my first book in paperback. I felt like I was on a high and in tears. I remember that moment as one of the most validating moments, but right next to that is hearing from readers. It's an honor to have your words, stories and characters enjoyed.

Do you have a specific writing style? In other words, are you a plotter or a pantser?  I'm a mix, my characters sometimes come to me whole and other times in pieces, which then requires a bit of prodding or plotting. I usually start with an idea where the story is going.

How did you come up with the titles to your book(s)? Sometimes the title comes from dialogue between the main characters, music, etc.

Is there a message in your book(s) that you want readers to grasp? Most of my characters are flawed and with that they come with baggage but always overcome. I think the act of overcoming is an important one to remember and embrace throughout life.

What are you currently working on?  I'm currently working on several novellas, and a novel for my upcoming series, Rogue Hearts, entitled Heat. The series stars a family of thieves, semi-reformed, capturing hearts and other things along the path to love.

Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work? I love several, but one thing that strikes me about each is their unique voices and the power in their words and characterization.

Have you learned anything from writing your book(s)? If so, what was it?  Each book has it's own flavor and timeframe. I've learned to trust the process.

Do you have any advice to offer other writers? Believe in your craft no matter, continue to soak up knowledge.

Do you have anything else youd like to add? Readers may find me at: http://samaraking.com and my blog, CharactersBehavingBadly.com.

Where can our readers find you on the world wide web?
