Sensuous Promos Spotlight and Interview with Faye Hall

Hello everyone, please welcome Faye Hall to Sensuous Promos today as she shares with us a little bit about themselves and their work.

Faye, thank you for joining us today. I know the readers are eager to get to know you , so let’s get started.

Can you tell us a little bit about where you are from?
I grew up in a small area of Northern Queensland, Australia called The Burdekin.  It’s a very rural township with sugar cane farms & cattle properties.

What does your writing desk look like? What would we find on it right this minute?
Oh No!  It’s a mess!  There’s little cards the kids have done for me, as well as little bracelets & pom poms they’ve made me.  There’s hair ties and clips for my kids.  There’s barely enough room for the keyboard lol.

Do you have any news you’d like to share with us?
I do!  I’m so excited too.  Red Sage Publishing has contracted my second novel ‘She’s A lot Like You’ .  Hopefully, edits permitting, it should be out 2013/2014.

What inspired you to write your first book?

My very first completed manuscript was “Pictures of you”, a sweet love triangle story about a struggling artist admitting his undying love for a girl he’d grown up with.  I was still at school when I wrote this, and that’s where the inspiration for it came from because, lets admit it, high schools are full of love triangles.

My first published book ‘My Gift To You’ was inspired by my most favorite movie “Dangerous Beauty”.  I loved the love story filled with deceit, and conflict, and the threat of the inquisition.  First time I watched the movie I pretty much picked up pen and paper and began writing what became my novel.

Do you write about things similar to your own life experiences?

Not sure about own life experiences, but all my characters are definitely influenced by people I know or have met briefly.

Do you see writing as a career? Do you write full time? Or in addition to another job?

I write where and when I can.  I’m a mother of 9 children aged from 15 to 8 months so my spare time is few and far between, so I just write as much as I can when the inspiration comes to me.

Can you share a little of your current work with us?

I’d love to.  I’m working on ‘Mistress of Purity’ at the moment.  It’s a script I’ve had sitting on the shelf for a while, that I’m hoping with a little work will also get contracted.  This one has a few twists and turns, some you’ve got to wait until the very last chapter to be revealed.  There’s passion, mystery, scandal and more than one love story that will keep the reader wanting more.

Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

All my scripts are set in late 19th Century North Queensland, Australia, so trying to get the history of those places just right has taken some research.

Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?

Yes I have had to travel back to my hometown and it’s surrounding towns.  This is where all of my stories are set, and these little towns hold so much unknown history that can’t just be found in books or on the internet.  So I felt if I was going to get the setting accurate for my books I had to go see these places with my own eyes.

Where can our readers find you on the world wide web?
There’s my personal website http://www.faye-hall.com
My Red Sage Publishing website where my books are available http://eredsage.com/store/MyGiftToYou.html .

As a child, Rush Mullens saw her parents murdered before her eyes. She didn’t know the men responsible, but she would find them. She wanted revenge. She didn’t think she would also find a boy she could love more than her own life; a boy who grew into the man who would steal her heart.

She couldn’t let him endanger her plans for revenge, nor could she ignore that she was willing to risk all – her past, her life, her reputation - just to sample an ounce of passion from this man.
Bailey Maston wanted to find a woman – the perfect woman – to give his heart to. He wanted to trust that she could exist. Everything he had seen in his young life, both at home and in society, told him what a foolish dream this was.

When he finally discovers the truth of Rush’s life, and the revenge she is enacting, will he allow the betrayal to keep him from the woman he yearns for…a woman he craves to free his well-guarded heart?

EXCERPT
Her long black hair fell softly around her naked shoulders, loose silken strands gently escaping, caressing her bare breasts. Her dark, piercing eyes followed her caressing hands, her soft fingertips lightly touching his bare flesh. His eyes moving, absorbing inch by glorious inch of her bare flesh, he felt arousing warmth filling him.
This naked innocent was more exquisite, more breathtaking than he could have dared to imagine possible. She was so much more than he ever thought any woman could be.
When she reached for him, her soft fingers teasingly taking his jerking organ, he was sure he would pass out from the pleasure he felt.
At the very least, he knew he would soon disgrace himself in her hand if she didn’t stop her teasing attentions. Moving his hands to hers, he tried to push her away.
Slowly her naturally pink, almost blood red lips pouted, her hand gradually ceasing its attentions.
"Please, Bailey. I want this . . . want you."
Focusing in on all the beautiful, dark features of this girl, Bailey could feel himself being filled by a strange, though intense, feeling. He knew he should refuse this woman's advances…
. . . Society dictated he should. . .
. . . His life dictated he must. . .
Lifting his hand to her face, he let his fingers lightly touch her naturally blushed cheek.
In this minute, he knew he couldn’t refuse her.
He was lost to her.

"Rush. . . "

Sensuous Promos Interview with Avril Ashton

Hello everyone, please welcome Avril Ashton to Sensuous Promos today
as she shares with us a little bit about herself and her work.

Avril, thank you for joining us today. I know the readers are eager to get to know you , so let’s get started.

1) Can you tell us a little bit about where you are from?

I’m from a little island in the West Indies called Grenada, or the Isle of Spice. It’s the most beautiful place; turquoise waters, yellow sand beaches, and all kinds of niceness. That’s where I was born and grew up, I left when I was seventeen and currently live in Brooklyn, NY.

2) When and why did you begin writing?

I began writing on the summer of ’09 because I had to. I dreamt about it every night, the characters were in my every thought.

3) At what point did you first consider yourself a writer?

Signing the very first contract was a big step, but it really was the first time I got a royalty check. That’s when it really h8it, that, yes, I’m getting paid to do this.

4) What inspired you to write your first book

My first book, Blindfold Me, is somewhat autobiographical. It was a stretch on something that happened to me in my teens, something that wasn’t resolved (still isn’t). I needed it resolved, so I wrote it, embellished some, and gave the characters the HEA and resolution I hadn’t received.

5) Do you have a specific writing style? In other words, are you a plotter or a pantser?

I’m a pantser. I sit down to write with only the main conflict and the two main characters names set in stone. Everything else is a free for all.

6) How did you come up with the titles to your book(s)?

Love titles. Love. I’ve got a file on my computer with only possible book titles in it. Songs mostly, other times it’s a phrase someone said in passing, a take on a quote, or anything. It takes very little to spark a possible title idea with me.

7) Do you see writing as a career? Do you write full time? Or in addition to another job?

I’m a full time writer as of March 2013, before that I worked part-time outside of the house. Writing is my career.

8) Where can our readers find you on the world wide web?

Bedroom Bully

Sometimes a woman needs more than a gentle touch…

El Lively needs to be punished and after more than a few auditions, she’s found the perfect man for the job. Her body is up for grabs. Not her heart, and definitely not her secrets, but Jud has other ideas.

Jud Kincaid agrees to El’s more-than-indecent proposal, but he’s after more than the physical. He wants an explanation for her sexual kinks, and a way into her heart. El’s being stubborn, but lucky for Jud, he’s just signed on to be her own personal Bedroom Bully.

Author Bio

A Caribbean transplant, Avril now lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., with a tolerant spousal equivalent. Together they raise an eccentric daughter who loves reading and school (not so much school anymore). Avril’s earliest memories of reading revolve around discussing the plot points of Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys with an equally book-minded mother.

Always in love with the written word, Avril finally decided to do the writing in August of ’09 and never looked back. Spicy love scenes, delicious heroes, and wicked women burn up the pages of Avril’s stories, but there’ll always be a happy ending; Av remains a believer of love in all its forms.

Addicted to cake, the ID Channel and the UFC, Avril writes Erotic and GLBT Romance for Ellora's Cave, Evernight Publishing, eXtasy Books, Secret Cravings Publishing and Total-e-Bound.

Book Spotlight ~ Horse Country by Christine Meunier

Christine Meunier has lived a life breathing, dreaming and working with horses in the thoroughbred industry in Australia and has also travelled overseas to work in the industry.  Horse Country takes her own personal experiences woven into a story about four young women studying and working in the horse industry.

Follow Lise and Wes as they work their way around North East Victoria, Australia in the seasonal world of breeding thoroughbreds.  Horse Country follows the seasons of the thoroughbred industry and what the day to day of working on a stud could look like.

A few hours away, Maddie and Melanie are working hard in their parent’s metropolitan riding school, teaching others about horse riding and care of the horse.  From the nervous first time rider, to the child who wants to run fast and jump high, the young women shape lessons to suit the individual.

Horses offer a great opportunity to study, learn, work and develop an incredible career around the world.  Set in Australia, this novel shows that the land down under is indeed a Horse Country.

EXCERPT
Glancing out of the school window across the green oval the bored sixteen-year-old sighed, admitting to herself that it would be a lot more exhilarating racing her palomino gelding around the emerald surface, rather than sitting in a stuffy room while their teacher marked the roll.
Calling her name he gained her attention, marking her off before addressing the class.
“Morning everyone.  Over the next fifteen minutes or so, I want you to have a think about what you’re going to do after year twelve.
“Because you’re in year eleven, I know most of you have already picked subjects that coincide with what you plan on studying in University.  But, today I’d like you to have a think about what you want as a job after your studies and list five different possibilities for me.  This year you’re going to do two bouts of work experience, so we will try and line these up with your preferences,” a balding fifty something pedagogue informed the general consensus of bored teens before him.
She smiled to herself, mentally correcting the teacher as she stared at the blank piece of paper in front of her.  She didn’t want a job – she wanted a career.
And she wouldn’t spend fifteen minutes deciding on one either, she’d spent just short of fifteen years deciding on horses.  Flicking through the University/TAFE guide before her she stopped on the letter E, her eyes scanning the page until she came across the word she was looking for.
Finding a list of seven or so careers, she mentally crossed out those that didn’t appeal to her, writing down the few that did before her attention returned to the green surface outside the classroom.
Replaying in her mind the conversation with her “Careers Teacher”, she smiled ruefully, more than aware of how she should have handled the conversation.
“Horses aren’t a career, dear.  Every girl goes through a stage where she wants a pony; you’ll grow out of it.  Aside from that, it’s too dangerous working with these unpredictable animals.”
It’ll be even more dangerous me working with them if I’m not initially trained to do so.
Girls that want ponies do quickly grow out of it, generally by the time they’ve discovered the male population.  I own a horse, have had this infatuation for the past ten or so years and don’t believe I’ll be growing out of it anytime soon.  Though, if I am going to do so, surely I’d tire of the animals more quickly if I was put to work with them?”
Aware that this response from her could have turned the conversation either way, she was curious to know if it would have worked to her advantage.
Thankful she had a mother whom was insistent on her following her heart, there’d been no need for her to have a follow up conversation with the older male however, and it was all thanks to her mother’s “little conversation” with the man.  She’d managed to convince the teacher to agree to let her daughter work with horses, at least for the first lot of work experience and that’s all that mattered to the teen.

About Christine ~

Christine Meunier considers herself introduced to the wonderful world of horses at the late age of 13 when her parents agreed to lease a horse for her.  She started experiencing horses via books from a young age and continues to do so, but recognises that horses cannot be learnt solely from books.

She has been studying horses from age 16, starting with the Certificate II in Horse Studies and is currently undertaking her Bachelor of Equine Science via distance education.
Christine has worked at numerous thoroughbred studs in Australia as well as overseas in Ireland for a breeding season.

She then gained experience in a couple of Melbourne based horse riding schools, instructing at a basic level before heading off overseas again, this time to South Africa to spend hours in the saddle of endurance and trail horses on the Wild Coast.

Particularly passionate about the world of breeding horses, she teaches equine studies focused on breeding, at a TAFE, Victoria, Australia.
She also writes a blog about equine education which you can view at http://equus-blog.com/

STORY EXCERPT

It was entirely too early when Damiano woke her the next morning. Karianna had no idea when she’d finally gone to sleep, but she didn’t feel rested.

“Come on, Kari,” she heard him say, “If you want coffee before your workout, you should get out of bed.”

Not Carl, not today, she thought. She had one man who was overwhelmingly attentive to her, and one who was a fiend in the gym. Between the two of them, she was going to go mad.

“Some honeymoon,” she murmured to herself.

“We can relax and have fun later,” she heard right next to her. Opening her eyes, she saw Damiano, in black silk pajama pants and no shirt, stretched out on her bed. Head propped up on his hand, he had an amused smile, as he watched the succession of expressions on her face. “When you decide what to do, cara, let me know,” he said. “But if you choose coffee and Carl, you should get up soon.”

“What are my other choices?” she asked grumpily.

“You have two choices, mia amore. Your husband or Carl.”

“And if I choose my husband?” she asked.

“Well, then we can stay in bed for a while and see what happens. Like this.” He reached over lazily and slowly drew the sheets from her body. “Nice, cara. So lovely on you,” he commented on the wisp of sheer lace she’d worn to bed. The only lingerie she had was ideal for newlyweds, and very sensual even then.

His eyes slowly moved down her body, taking in the sight. While she tried to sort out her feelings, his hand found the slit in the side of the gown, caressed her thigh, and then swept up and over her behind. Moving closer, he cushioned her head on his arm and slowly kissed her.

Now thoroughly awake with her body at full alert, she knew exactly what she wanted. She wasn’t sure if it was what she should do, though. Part of her was shocked that she would even consider sleeping with this man. Of course, it was difficult to reason with a strong, warm hand taking a tour of her body, having now reached her breast. They were married, after all, she thought, and Trae was gone. It wouldn’t be cheating. Besides, she was stuck with him for two years and he was attractive, to say the least. She might as well get something out of the arrangement.

Damiano decided to help her make up her mind by tracing her ear with his tongue, nibbling her ear lobe and leaving a trail of tiny kisses down her throat. His hand massaged her stomach and abdomen, then pressed in deeply, to massage just below her navel. The explosion of white-hot energy sent her right over the edge.

As her arms reached up to pull him to her, her mouth sought his hungrily, like someone who’d been starved nearly to death invited to a banquet.

“Slowly, cara. We have all morning,” he said, gently taking her in hand, while teasing her even more. Pinning her wrists to the bed and positioning himself between her thighs, but not entering her, his mouth teased her throat and shoulders as she became more and more aroused, aroused beyond anything she had ever imagined.

When he had reached the top of her gown, Damiano shook his head. “Cara, why do you have on so many clothes?” As if see-through black lace actually covered anything.

First the straps came off her shoulders, and then the bodice was smoothed down to her waist, the elastic stretching enough not to be a hindrance.

Continuing where he’d left off, her breasts received his full attention, until she thought she would burst. “Damiano, please, I need you. For heaven’s sake, take me.”

As if he’d not heard a word, his lips continued their caresses down her body, occasionally nipping her skin lightly with his perfect teeth. Letting go of her hands, his fingers stroked her body, squeezed her breasts gently, and nearly drove her mad with desire. Clutching the sheets in clenched fists, her body performed an exotic dance, directed by the caresses of her new lover.

“And here we are again with the clothes,” he said. “This will not do, cara.” Pulling the gown down past her hips and off onto the floor, he shook his head again. “What is this, cara mia?” he asked, his finger beneath the top of the panties matching the gown, teasing her sensitive skin. “No, these we will never see again. Not in my bed.” One quick movement tore the lace from her body and pitched the panties into a corner of the room. “Much better. Now where was I?”

By the time he’d sampled her entire torso, Karianna was beyond begging. With each new sensation, she gasped or whimpered in anguished bliss, each touch of his lips or hands sending her body into a higher and higher state of need and desire.

“So, cara, are you nearly ready for your husband?” he asked, finally.

“Dear god, Damiano, don’t make me wait any longer. Please…”

He may have been her brother’s best friend, but she wants him to be her Marine with Benefits.
Excerpt
He needed to get it together. Tonight was about purging demons and having a good time. When the waitress delivered his jack and coke, he swirled the ice around in the glass, watering down the alcohol. An icy hot shiver skated over his skin. Twisting in the seat, he looked toward the entrance in time to see her walk in the door. It was like every cell in his body leaned in her direction, drawn by the inexorable force of nature that was Kara Childs. He’d know her anywhere.
Steel bands squeezed his chest, compressed his lungs, and bruised his heart. She was gorgeous. A red dress hugged her luscious curves, too much so. His dick stood at attention without a second thought for courtesy, commitment, or promises made. And damn if she didn’t make an entrance, her arrival captured more than a few looks of interest from the single men at the bar and a few not so single men at the tables.
Rising, he crossed the room toward her. The moment her gaze collided with his, heat flashed through him. She had no business being out in a dress like that much less in a club like this.
“What are you doing here?”
“I planned on asking you the same question.” He caught her arm and turned her around, not quite hurrying her back up the red-carpeted steps toward the front door. “And why aren’t you wearing some damn clothes?”
Kara stopped, and unless he planned on picking her up or knocking her over, he had to stop, too. Although, he had to admit the former idea held a certain appeal. “Let go Derek.”
“You shouldn’t be here.” He kept his voice low and leaned into her. The scent of plum and flowery blossoms in the soap she favored smelled like coming home.
“Really?” The cold spray of her gaze flicking over him cooled his ardor. “I live here. What’s your excuse?”
“I’m moving here—moved here.” Yeah, not how he planned to drop this particular bomb.  And from her shocked expression, not one she expected either. “I planned to call you,” and it was a little to late to apologize. “After I settled in.”
Her chest rose with her swift inhale and his gaze dropped to the warm curves of her breasts visible above the strapless line of her dress. That dress was made for her. His cock jerked in his pants and he was grateful for the lower illumination near the door.  “Well, thanks for the notice.” She turned away from him and surveyed the room beyond. “If you’ll excuse me, I have a date.”
Violence rocketed through him. “With who?” He didn’t even realize he gritted his teeth until he tried to speak.
“With a gentleman called none of your damn business,” she tugged her arm out of his grasp.
Flushing hot and cold and then hot again, he moved to stand next to her and studied the room. Who the hell was she meeting in a place like this? How did she even know a bar like this existed? Keith’s baby sister did not belong in a club like this. “Who are you here to see, Kara?” He bent his head, his lips damn near brushing the warm curve of her ear and half tempted to kiss it while he was there. Locking down that urge, he ordered his body to knock it off.
She was—and had always been—way out of bounds.

Book Spotlight ~ Marine in the Wind by Heather Long

Freewill bound…
Greg Rainwater lost a piece of himself in the deserts of Iraq, a piece that his Shaman great-grandfather would call his soul. After months of grueling physical therapy at Mike’s Place, he’s still empty. When his discharge papers arrive, Greg has no idea where to go until A.J. calls and invites him to Freewill. The ranch turns out to be exactly what he needs—hard physical labor, horses, and the mountains soothe his injured soul.  If only Old Man Crane’s granddaughter didn’t look at him with such scorn in her eyes… Determined to put her out of his mind, he signs up for a one-night stand.
Under her skin…
Stuck in Freewill, Georgia Crane gave up her own dreams to look after her grandfather. She hates small towns, she hates busybodies, and she really hates outsiders, but she adores her grandfather, so she stays. If only the old man wouldn’t keep wandering off. The self-proclaimed medicine man insists on walking the hills and the mountains, communing with nature and the spirits. Her frustration increases when a new arrival encourages his lunacy.  Not content to hunger after the man replacing her in her grandfather’s affections, Georgia signs up for a one-night stand.
Sexual healing…
When Greg is paired with Georgia, his blood boils—the woman turns him inside out. Georgia’s as shocked as he is…after all, this is the guy her grandfather keeps wandering off with. Stuck together for the evening, distrust turns to attraction and irritation to desire, but can they bridge the distance in just one night?
EXCERPT
The beautiful woman marched straight for them and sent all the blood in Greg’s body south. He’d spent most of his time on the ranch or at Mike’s Place. The women he knew were therapists, Marines, sailors—or A.J.’s girlfriend. This lady, with her mane of midnight black hair, sun kissed skin, and soft pink lips reminded him of all he’d been missing, a sprite of nature given living, breathing form.
“I’m sorry, son,” Crane muttered and picked up his pace. “Georgia…”
“Don’t you Georgia me.” The beautiful sprite turned into a fire-breathing dragon, right down to the heat flaming in her eyes. “You’re supposed to be taking it easy, Grandpa. This—?” she waved her arms toward the ranch and included Greg in her sweep. “Is the complete opposite of taking it easy.”
“I’m fine. Georgia, this is—”
“I don’t care who this is.” She exhaled a hard breath and looked at Greg. “No offense. I’m sure you’re very nice. I know you served, and we’re grateful. But this is my grandfather you’re dragging all over the back of beyond, not one of your Marines.”
“Georgia Crane.” The older man frowned.
“No. You’re an hour late. You didn’t tell me where you were going. You didn’t leave a note. I’ve looked for you everywhere. If I hadn’t run into A.J., I wouldn’t know where you were now.” She held up a bottle and shook it. “You’re supposed to take this, on schedule, three times a day. You can’t skip.”
Anger tightened the lines around her eyes and her mouth had a hard pinched look. Greg hadn’t encouraged the older man to take a long walk, but he hadn’t discouraged him either.
“It was good to meet you, Greg.” Crane turned away from his granddaughter pointedly and offered his hand. Greg shook it. “Don’t forget to keep listening.”
“I won’t. You two all right to get back to town?” He didn’t doubt for an instant the little firecracker could handle it, but in her current frame of mind, they might need a mediator.
“We’re fine.” The older man didn’t seem hurried. “Georgia, this is Greg Rainwater.”
“Mr. Rainwater.”
“Miss Crane,” he echoed her tone.
“Grandpa, come on. You need your meds and probably something to eat with them. We can pick up sandwiches on the way.” She may as well have acted like Greg wasn’t there, but since the pair seemed likely to engage in an argument at any moment, he left it alone.
After she loaded her grandfather in the car and walked around to the passenger side, she set her fierce gaze on him again. It raked him from head to toe before she gave him a grudging nod, although her expression didn’t ease one iota.
He stared after the car long after it disappeared into the distance and he listened.
If only he was certain what he listened for.

Paul and Lillianna get off on the wrong foot, enjoying a wildly passionate encounter after the wedding. He wakes to find her gone, but still tries to track down her number. Paul wants more than a one-night stand, but his limited leave is up and must return to active duty.
He might be ready to take their relationship to another level, but all Lillianna thought she wanted was a good time. But Paul’s attention—even from thousands miles away—is hard to resist and while she tells herself repeatedly she doesn’t want a relationship with a Marine, she can’t deny the consequences of their passionate night.
And when she finally does reach out, it’s to confess she’s pregnant, and she has to figure out if she’s ready to let the father of her child be her Marine ever after…
Excerpt:
Paul eyed the bridesmaid from the moment she made her entrance through the double doors. He was fourth groomsman, which meant he’d get to escort her out. Thank you, Jesus.Gorgeous was the only word that would do. Not that the other bridesmaids weren’t good looking, Jazz was a hell of a looker and if he looked too long, one of her two husbands might be inclined to take his head off.
All in good fun, at least on Zach’s part. Logan was standing right net to Paul. Better to keep his eyes on the more attractive prize. From her rich dark hair piled atop of her head to the deep natural dark tan of her skin. He hesitated to call it brown, but the white gloves and deep navy of her dress looked so smashing against her skin tone. He barely got a glimpse at her eyes and his training kept his gaze forward as they walked.
Photographs would be next and then a drive to the reception at Mike’s Place. If he played his cards right, he’d be in her limo. Sadly, the evening wedding meant the sun was already sinking as they exited and the shadows lessened the chance he could tell what color they were.
But we have to dance… A smile curved his mouth. He would have plenty of opportunity to stare at her eyes and determine their color then.
“Paul Torres,” he murmured.
“I’m sorry, what?” She glanced up at him, a distracted smile softening her expression. It hit him like a fist to the gut.  He needed to revise his earlier opinion, gorgeous didn’t do her justice.
“I’m Paul Torres, you must be Lillianna,” the only bridesmaid who missed the big rehearsal dinner. Not that I can complain…He almost missed it, too. But his flight landed an hour beforehand and it was only with some skillful driving that Damon managed to get them both there in time to be in the line up before the bridesmaids did their obligatory walk.
“Yes, sorry. I can’t get over how happy she looks. And Lillianna Hansen.” She let go of his arm and offered her gloved hand to shake.  The urge to kiss it was a little too romance novel for him, so he shook it and then held onto it.
“The captain looks pretty happy, too. I think he got the better end of the bargain.” He chuckled. They were all settling down. He’d served with most of the men in the groom’s party and earned his invitation when the wedding coincided with his leave. Unfortunately, Brody hadn’t been able to make it. But he promised to visit the happy couple on his next trip through Dallas.
“I hope so. There’s a tiny part of me that doesn’t like him.” The announcement surprised him, but the photographer summoned them to join the bride and groom so he swallowed the question.
Five hundred photographs later, they were dismissed to make their way to the waiting limousines. A small fleet of them waited, Jazz and her husbands loaded into one, the freshly marrieds got their own, James and Lauren claimed the third, and Paul drifted back a little, and fortunately Lillianna waited for him as Damon and A.J. helped their bridesmaids into a limo and joined them.
Score. We get the last one to ourselves.
“Everything all right?” She eyed him expectantly.
“Fine, I just wanted to check a button.” Lame, Paul. Lame. But it was the first excuse to pop into his head. He motioned for the limo and she shook her head and led the way. He beat her to the door and opened it, and handed her inside before slipping off his cover and joining her.
She sat opposite him in the wide area of the stretch, and on the far side. He considered swapping seats, but he liked looking at her better—even if only in the illumination of passing headlights.  “I hope you’re ready for a big party.”
“Me too.” Lillianna didn’t sound like she was ready.  He raised his eyebrows and she moistened her lips.
Damn. Mind out of the gutter. He gave his body the order, but it was too late to prevent the shock of reaction running riot through his system. If he hadn’t already been curious about her before, he definitely was now.  Out. Of. The. Gutter
