The night was still warm as they strolled past the Metro Station at Viktoria Square before turning onto Feron Street. Addie unlocked the door of a brown, stone building and led Mario into the foyer.
Mario’s eyes took note of his surroundings. The foyer was decorated in exquisite grey and white marble. Huge, black porcelain urns stood on either side of the winding marble staircase which disappeared upwards. Golden hooks were fixed to the wall on the right for visitors’ coats and a gold rack was positioned for shoes.
Addie released Mario’s hand and removed his coat. He then hung it on one of the gold hooks before removing his shoes and placing them into the stand. He waited as Mario followed suit. He again took his hand, giving his fingers a gentle squeeze, and they padded upstairs.
The townhouse was magnificent. Opulent, grand, beautifully decorated. “Did you decorate yourself?” Mario asked as Addie led him into the most beautiful bedroom he’d ever seen.
“Yes. The place had to be gutted and almost rebuilt after I bought it but I’m happy with the result. I’ve been here almost three years.”
“It’s a credit to you.” Mario scanned the room. In the center was a four poster, king sized bed. It was covered in black satin which contrasted against the red walls. A large Blackwood chest stood against one wall, rings were secured in the walls and the ceiling. He could glimpse a red and black marble bathroom through a partially opened door.
Addie followed Mario’s gaze as he observed his surroundings. “Would you like to see the bathroom,” he asked as he pulled the polo shirt over his head revealing his chest.
Mario swallowed hard. Addie had abs that resembled a washboard. God he was gorgeous and Mario wanted him. His cock hardened as Addie stepped towards him. He lowered his head and locked him into a sensuous kiss. Mario’s knees weakened. He couldn’t believe this Greek Adonis could be interested in him.  When he drew back, Mario could barely speak. “Later,” he answered to the earlier question about seeing the bathroom.
“Come and sit on the bed.” Addie invited.
The men sat side by side.
“I need to know what you expect from me.”
“I want you to be in charge,” Mario began.
“Do you like pain?”
“Yes, as long as it evokes pleasure.”
“Have you been restrained before?”
“On one or two occasions.”
“Spanking, whipping?”
“No, but would like that I think.”
“Nipple clamping, cock rings?”
Mario was almost coming in his pants, he was so excited. His dick was like a stick of dynamite with the fuse already lit. He had heard about these practices but had never found a partner willing to try them. “No, but again I would like to try.”

Author Bio
Mom of two rockin' girls, Reader of everything, Author of The Dragon Guards series and many more surprises to come!
I am a sarcastic, sometimes foul-mouthed, not afraid to drink a beer, always southern woman with 2 of the most amazing teenage daughters, a menagerie of animals and a voracious appetite for reading who recently decided to write the storied running through her brain. I read my first book, Dr Suess' Cat in The Hat by myself at 4 and was hooked.

I believe a good book along with shoes, makeup and purses will never let a girl down and that all heroes of all the books I have ever read or will ever write pale in comparison to my daddy! I am a sucker for a happy ending and love some hot sweaty sex with a healthy dose of romance.

I am still working on my story but believe it will contain all of the above with as much SPICE as I can work into it. CHEERS!

Excerpt
Laughing, they began their trek, joking and teasing but the fun was long forgotten after several hours of endless walking. Kyra was hot, tired and seriously pissed, convinced they were just wasting time, aimlessly marching around the hillside. She was just about to suggest a break when a chill ran down her spine and her hands began to shake. Without saying a word, she dropped into the lotus position with her backpack on her lap and began pulling out her supplies, completely ignoring Lance’s bitching and Devon’s inquiries about her well being It took only a few seconds and she had the silver-framed mirror that had been her great-great-grandmother’s, a vial of blessed water from the Black Lake, and her special herbs and was working her Scrying Spell. She could hear the two Guardsmen discussing what she was doing but concentrated on the task at hand. They had been around her long enough to know she wasn't wasting time; any other explanations would have to wait.
The spell took less than five minutes and had a side effect she had only experienced one other time in her life. Not only did she get a location on Andrew but she also had a vision of what he was planning. The scene that played out in her mind was like watching a horror movie only she could feel what each character felt. Her heart raced and a cold sweat broke out all over her body but she was stuck, watching the complete annihilation of a quaint little community tucked in a once beautifully lush valley. Everything she saw was from Andrew’s point of view so although she hadn’t seen him, she knew he was there but that was the only thing that felt familiar.
She searched the faces of the dead and injured for any indication of the target of the asshole’s destruction but nothing looked familiar and there wasn’t any sound to help. All she knew was that he was somewhere off a rocky coast with turbulent waters and he was having a great time hurting anyone and everyone in his path. The silent movie of destruction went on and on. When she was sure she couldn’t take any more pain and suffering and had decided to see what the guys thought about what she had seen, her heart ceased to beat and her lungs refused to hold air, there standing in the middle of the war zone was Royce. His brow was furrowed, his brown eyes scanning the area for those that most needed his help. Her heart broke when she saw the cuts and bruises covering most of his beautiful face and his torn, bloody and soot-covered clothes.
The horror show unfolding in Andrew’s mind switched to slow motion as Royce moved from person to person helping the living from the rubble and getting them to safety. He wasn’t the only one working rescue but he was the only one that mattered to her. He shouted something and she cursed the lack of sound. In the next instant, a taller version of Royce (Was that even possible?) appeared to his right. The resemblance was uncanny. The new guy’s hair was short and curly but an auburn red instead of bright red and he was not all muscular and hunky, more long and lean which only added to how absolutely tall he was. The two worked furiously to clear away the debris, looking for someone or something specific. Even though only a vision, she could tell they were engaged in a constant stream of mind speak, another wonderful perk of being magical.
An ominous sense of danger filled her and once again her breath stilled in her lungs. She watched as both men turned in unison and began running almost faster than her eyes could track. They were obviously screaming orders to anyone that could hear from the expressions they wore and the way their mouths moved. The feeling of impending doom engulfed every cell of Kyra’s body as she felt Andrew’s enjoyment grow. The sick son if a bitch was enjoying what he was seeing and delighted that more was coming.
Horror movies had never been her thing and to have the man that was her mate in a starring role in one that would be a reality was seriously freaking her out. Sifting through everything she had ever learned that was stored in her goofy brain, she looked for a way to pull out of the vision. Finally, she found what she thought might work, but true to form, a bright light burst before her eyes, vibrations of an explosion she knew was taking place in her mind gave her the sensation of falling right before her world went black.

Big T watched her with a huge grin on his face. Happier than she’d been in ages, she returned the expression. Again she closed her eyes, continued to juggle the shining spheres and hummed the tune from the dream she had the night before.
“Zya,” Tavis whispered proudly.
She popped her eye open and stared at him, astonished. The orbs came to rest in her hands. She stepped toward him, the tops of her fingertips barely touching his chest with the spheres stilled in her palms, and opened her mouth to speak.
“Nice set of balls you have there in your hands, Faith,” Cassandra commented from the entrance to the kitchen before her cousin could get a word out.
Faith and Big T dropped their balls like they were two kids in trouble for having something they shouldn’t. As the orbs hit the floor, they dissipated into the air.
Cassandra shook her head. “I don’t know about you two. Every time I come in here, I catch you guys up to something. Well, have at it. Alden is off fetching Hope. I’m heading out to Morrigan’s property. Then we’re off to the temple. Since I’ll be with my friend, you won’t have to babysit me, Big T.” She gave each one a cursory glance again, then left.
Once the front door closed, Faith gathered her wits and focused back on Big T. She gasped. “You’re glowing!”
“Describe it for me.”
The rich, deep timbre of his voice reverberated through her core, reminding her of the passion she’d shared with her new dream man. She took a deep, steadying breath. “It’s like a fog edging your body. Not a thick fog because I can still make out some detail behind you, but enough of a haze to be defining. It’s a gorgeous turquoise. It ebbs and flows with your breaths.”
“Well, my dear, you’re glowing, too. Your hue is a beautiful amber, like that of your energy globes.” He took her hand in his.
“This is too weird,” she commented as the colors swirled and blended together. “It’s like what happened in my dream. Maybe I need some more sleep.”
“No, Faith, you don’t need more sleep. You need to find your eyes, look with your soul, then you’ll see the truth and the path which is already before you.” He stepped in toward her and pushed a lock of hair behind her ear. “Your salvation from Mabuz’s world and the ties that bind you there lie in choosing the right course of action, deciding between good and evil.”

Book Spotlight ~ Dark Velvet by Lisa Carlisle

Dark Velvet

    by Lisa Carlisle

Grad student Savannah Evans is thrilled to be accepted as a resident to a prestigious art colony. Where else would she be able to focus on her craft of writing poetry in a setting like that of the medieval-styled castle? The remote New England island is a respite from her hectic city life. When she meets her benefactor, a mysterious French sculptor, her expectations for carefree days writing near the ocean are distracted by unprofessional fantasies about her sponsor.

Antoine Chevalier built Les Beaux Arts on DeRoche Island to bring purpose back to an existence that has lost meaning. He’s wandered the earth for decades and finds solace in returning to art. When Savannah applies for a residency, something about her words touches him. After her arrival, a physical attraction grows between them, which he struggles against.  She deserves more than someone of his kind.

Antoine proposes they become lovers during her stay. But the situation turns complicated when Savannah discovers his secret. She had suspicions about his identity, but finds the truth overwhelming. Consumed by her desire for Antoine and faced with a tough decision, she is blind to the danger that has arrived at DeRoche Island.

Savannah’s fingers traced the cool marble of the god’s muscular back and then the definition in his arm as he drew an arrow to shoot. She pictured Antoine bent over the sculpture, brows furrowed in concentration, losing sense of time as he polished each portion to perfection.

“Do you like this?” A deep voice whispering in her ear startled her.

She jumped at the sound of his voice, bumping back into his hard chest, and he caught her upper arms to steady her. Only one man in the castle spoke in that smooth French accent—the sculptor himself.

“Oh, I’m sorry, Antoine.” She fumbled taking a half step forward, away from him. “I shouldn’t have touched it.”

“No, don’t apologize.” He let go of her arms, but his warm breath tickled her ear.

He took her hand, caressing her palm, which sent tingles up her arm. Her bottom lip quivered as he brought her fingers to rest again on the marble piece. She thanked the gods he remained behind her so he couldn’t witness her nervous reaction, and she bit her lip to halt the tremors. This was not the way for a young protégée to behave in front of her benefactor. He owned the castle, created the art colony here where she was attending on a poetry scholarship—she shouldn’t go gaga simply from his touch. Which was exactly what she was doing.

“It pleases me that you appreciate my work.” Leading her fingers down the figure’s chiseled chest, he leaned in closer and added, “I liked watching you admire it.”

His voice alone sent flames rippling through her. Every nerve in her being lit with awareness in reaction to him. In the months since they’d met, they’d never been alone in such proximity. Weeks of heated looks from afar had inflamed her desire so the slightest touch became intimate, strengthening her need for more.

Sounds of approaching voices indicated this evening’s performance in the chateau would soon begin. Several of the musicians in the art colony had collaborated on orchestral pieces they wanted to play in front of an audience for the first time. As fellow artists in residence, they sought the support of fellow residents.

Antoine kissed her hand like a suitor in a bygone era. “I hope you enjoy the concert, Savannah.”

Her lips parted, opening and closing like a fish while she thought of what to say. When she mustered up the courage to turn and face him, he had already left the room, filling her with both relief and disappointment. Unaware she’d been holding her breath, she exhaled deeply.
Several times over the course of the evening, Savannah caught Antoine’s dark eyes watching her. Her emotions roiled in confusion while the performers played Barber’s Adagio for Strings. The way he held her gaze without blinking made her squirm in the burgundy armchair. The rising tension and resolution from the violin and cello underscored her tumultuous emotions.

She smiled at him briefly and focused on the musicians, aware of how her heartbeat had escalated. When she glanced again at Antoine, he still watched her unabashed, as if unconcerned about what the others would think. He took a sip of Porto, nodded her way, and then returned his attention to the musicians. She sat up straighter and crossed her legs at the ankles, then uncrossed them, and crossed them again.

The attraction was becoming more difficult to ignore. In light of how he breached the physical distance by touching her so earlier, she feared she’d be unable to keep her desires hidden much longer. She’d developed an instant crush since she arrived at the castle three months before. How could she not be—he was a renowned sculptor with a devastating, dark appeal. What was she to him than just another young resident who would be gone in three months, replaced by another.

Was she reading more into the brief exchange than was warranted?

It’s just a look. Only a casual glance my way. Even as she attempted to fool herself, she knew she was full of shit.
